Kainos is a Greek word, translated as, "new," "fresh," "unused," "unworn," or "unprecedented."
The entire event is focused around 2 Corinthiands 5:17: "Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come."
This rebirth is for the brand as a whole, while also featuring a specialized theme, ready and waiting for a second Kainos Night to take place. This version features softer, friendlier colors, and a more unique font choice for the main typography. The entire thing still focusses in on the fact that we are new creations in Christ Jesus - and that the old has passed away, and the new has come! All of this is done with a new point of view placed on it, however, bringing with it a special phrase - "Return To The Garden."
The heart behind it is this: When we sinned, and were removed from the garden, we lost the intimate communion with God that we once had. But because of Jesus - because He died in our place, paying the penalty we deserved to pay, and rising again after three days - we have the opportunity to step back into relationship with the God who made us. This communion is part of the new creation life we get to step into, as children of God. We now get to come to an intimate, relational knowledge of Him - the God of our salvation, the Lord of all creation, the Creator of all in existence, and the Savior of all who place their faith in Him.
The hope is that people would understand that they are welcome to return to the Savior, and to this place of close friendship with God. It is that they would understand that they are never too far gone, and that they would see that He went to such great lengths to bring them back to Himself.
